1) Load http://daqcontrol.ipnl.in2p3.fr/index.html ID: cmsLyon

2) Choose as configuration: config_FE1_sdhcal11_7

3) Click: INITIALIZE –> START

4) Go to DAQ control page that shall appear

CREATE –> DISCOVER → SERVICE → INITIALIZE

5) go to a terminal and execute

daqcontrol –daq-download –dbstate=FE1_24CH_29

daqcontrol –daq-setvth –vth=510

#for Timing measurement you can even use #daqcontrol –daq-setvth –vth=515

daqcontrol –daq-configure

daqcontrol –trig-spillof –clock=10000

daqcontrol –trig-spillon –clock=100000

daqcontrol –trig-spillreg –value=4

6) Come back to web control and start a run with START → TRIG RESUME. Check everything is green and events number are incrementing.

7) Go to a terminal. And execute:

cd /data/local/FE1PR/ ls -ltrh

check that the file with run name identical to the one you see on DAQ control is increasing in size.

8) Check that there is anough space on the disk (at least 20% free) with

df
